He saw something but we don’t know what it was.

I generally don’t doubt “sightings” when people say they saw something that they couldn’t identify (some of them are ridiculous though).

the arguments in favor of that are significant too.

I don’t doubt there is life elsewhere in the universe. But I doubt that they are coming here, for a few reasons. The biggest one being why? How do they even know about us?

Reasonably, they would have to be within about 125 light years to know we’re here, and that’s assuming they could detect our faint first radio broadcasts – and I would expect that we would similarly be able to detect their emissions if they are advanced enough to have done that and also gotten here.

The other alternative would seem to be the “ancient alien” concept, which again leaves me wondering why?

And as I’ve previously noted, I’ve seen some astounding declassified technology in the 80’s, so I can certainly believe a lot of what people see could be human-made.

Good points- I agree. We also don’t see ghosts during the day nor most other paranormal stuff. Our imaginations are cranked up in the dark. But there are also countless reports of sightings during the day. One in Africa decades ago- at a multi racial school (Kenya?). Another at a school in Australia, also decades ago. The *** culture is very rich indeed.

As for lights- makes sense unless they want us to see them. I’m well aware of all the skepticism- and also the proponents. I’d make a list of the better YouTube channels but the moderators here might not like it.

We can’t ignore what David Grusch said. I can’t think of a reason he’d make it up.

So maybe there’s something here or maybe not- but I’m watching it close.

One of the best stories is by fighter pilot David Fravor- a Top Gun pilot who saw the tic-tac craft in 2004. A guy like him simply wouldn’t invent such a story. He saw something but we don’t know what it was. The radar guys on the aircraft carrier and other ships in the convoy saw anomalies on their radar. What Fravor reported was seen by multiple detectors.

So what’s this have to do with energy and climate? A lot of it’s true.

I don’t see the problem with toys and plastic items. My grandchildren run straight to the playroom at my house to play with the toys my wife saved from when our daughters were children. Most of them are plastic and are still in very good shape and desirable to the grandchildren.

How come all these sightings are at night? If the aliens are hiding why do they have lights? How good are people at judging the size of objects in the night sky? The moon looks gigantic when just above the horizon, but very small when overhead.

Here is another pretty good account of the 1997 Arizona unidentified object:

http://edition.cnn.com/US/9706/19/ufo.lights/

What were those lights in the Phoenix sky?

Researchers still sorting out hundreds of witness accounts

June 19, 1997

PHOENIX (CNN) — When it appeared in the Arizona sky on the night of March 13, it was witnessed by hundreds of people. Neither researchers nor witnesses have yet figured out what Arizonans saw in the event now dubbed “the Phoenix Lights.” But that hasn’t stopped them from trying to puzzle it out.

Tim Ley and his family are among the hundreds of witnesses who have come forward to talk about the Phoenix Lights. They first saw the lights while looking north from their Phoenix home.

Now, their recollections of what they saw have been transformed into computer images, using a combination of digital photos of the landscape taken by Ley and computer drawings of the objects his family saw in the sky.

“When it finally got here and we realized this thing was coming right over us, we really started getting antsy,” Ley said. Then, said he and his son Hal, it went directly overhead in complete silence.

Tim Ley said that when the right side of what appeared to be a giant V-shaped craft passed directly over him, the left side was a couple of blocks away.

His wife, Bobbi, who also saw the aerial light show, said the size of the craft they saw was overwhelming. But, she said, “It didn’t seem threatening. … When it was right overhead and we couldn’t hear a sound, it was like you’re just awestruck.”

end excerpt

It sounds like they got a pretty good look at it. it doesn’t sound like they are describing flares fired by the U.S. military, which is the official explanation.

I haven’t found a link yet, but I believe this object was sighted flying not just over Phoenx but across the whole State of Arizona from northwest to southeast.

“It’s believed by U*O followers that the government has photos, videos, craft and bodies. But maybe not.”

Many members of Congress are starting to demand that U.S. inteligence agencies show Congress what they have on any alien craft or encounters.

And the Intelligence agencies are dragging their feet.

Our federal bureaucracy seems to have become more powerful than the People’s representatives. We need to change that. The Intelligence agencies work for the People, not the other way around.

Electing Trump would be one good way of sending a message to them.

Here is a link to the incident:

https://www.nbcnews.com/id/wbna17761943

March 23, 2007

Former Arizona Gov. Fife Symington, who trotted out an aide dressed as an alien 10 years ago to spoof the frenzy surrounding mysterious lights in the Phoenix sky, now says the lights were actually an alien spacecraft.

Now a pastry chef and business consultant, Symington is keying in on the anniversary of the sighting of the so-called “Phoenix Lights” by reversing course, saying the lights were really extraterrestrial and that he saw a UFO himself.

“I’m a pilot and I know just about every machine that flies,” Symington said Thursday. “It was bigger than anything that I’ve ever seen. It remains a great mystery. Other people saw it, responsible people. I don’t know why people would ridicule it.”

They will soon move on to something else, but it is the spirit of the season.
However, doing things with them will last a lifetime. For example, make cookies or candies or a gift for grandparents. Make a wreath for the front door or a garland. Make a bunch of things and give some to neighbors.
Make memories.

If you start at the beginning date of this site — WUWT, and also Climate Audit, Jo Nova, Paul Homewood, Judith Curry, and a few others, articles on “climate change science” will be plentiful. Articles and comments will point to other material, such as papers in journals.
I suspect that for many long-term readers the concept of Carbon Dioxide induced “global warming” was shown to be seriously flawed many years ago. I do note that many posts in the last few years are less science oriented and more related to the news about what people and governments are doing. Many people and governments have accepted the Anthropological Global Warming (AGW) concept as an axiom and act accordingly. Following these doings is sometimes “gossipy” such as following the antics of one’s dysfunctional family.
Unless you have trained in math and sciences, I suggest you go to a local university and ask department heads for free introductory textbooks: physics, chemistry, biology, geology, geography. Much is on the web if you know the terms to look for.

Others have told you of the many problems with your so called survey. The most significant being that expressing concern in a survey is not the same things as supporting the Biden agenda.

You really should stop trying to convince everyone of something that simply isn’t true.
For some reason you are desperate to prove that there is no difference between right and left on this issue. A few days ago you were trying to sell everyone on the notion that we need a large government to protect us from the free market.

Sounds like your primary goal is to protect the left and socialists, and you are willing to make up any story to that affect.
