Al Gore Re-Invents Himself as a Climate Change Youth Leader

h/t Dr. Willie Soon; You would have thought after making hundreds of millions selling his TV station to big oil backed Al Jazeera, buying a seaside villa, and having his most famous climate prediction fall flat, Al Gore might have settled into a very comfortable retirement. But apparently not.

Guest essay by Eric Worrall

Al Gore looks to youth to spark action on climate change

“We cannot continue to use the sky as an open sewer in a way that is absolutely destroying the future,” Gore said before an audience at the Kennedy Center.

Al Gore is fired up.

The environmentalist and former vice president appeared on stage Wednesday evening in Washington, D.C., speaking to young activists from Georgetown University about the youth-led climate movement and excoriating the lack of political will worldwide to address the growing crisis.

“We cannot continue to use the sky as an open sewer in a way that is absolutely destroying the future,” Gore said before an audience at the Kennedy Center.

The talk, part of an exhibition called “COAL + ICE” that uses immersive video and photography to show the consequences of climate change, comes just days before youth leaders are set to hold a global day of protest on Friday against climate inaction.

Speaking across the generational divide, Gore said young people have helped propel cultural shifts throughout history.

“Young people have always been in the vanguard of these morally based social movements demanding change,” he said.

In my opinion there is a reason dangerous cults, climate activists and evil demagogues target children. Children have not had the life experience to ask the right questions, to objectively evaluate the nonsense they are fed. Not that I am suggesting Al Gore is an evil demagogue, of course.

The Earth’s climate(s) is/are always changing, always has/have done, always will do, & it has always had weather extremes!!! The UK Wet Office is doing its usual backside covering piece by predicting all sorts of good & bad weather so that when it happens they can say, “told you!!!”. Blue skies & sunshine this morning in South-West UK, damn this climate change stuff, gonna have to be boring & breakfast on the beach this morning – again!!! HAGWE everyone, except you Al Gore, hope you have a severe plumbing issue in all your bathrooms in ALL your mansions simultaneously!!!

After a bit of searching, in answer to my question, admission to the COAL + ICE exhibit and related events is free, but you must preregister for tickets. Proof of vaccination is required, and masks are required.

So, it appears that taxpayers likely are footing the bill for this.

Another question: How much was Big Al paid to present his schtick?

Regarding registration for tickets: The organizers will have a nice list of presumably concerned and interested people to target with follow-up propaganda and appeals for donations of time and money.

Al Gore charges between $100,000 and $1,000,000 for a single speaking engagement so chances are this presentation was towards the top end of the range.

I have Chinese family members who survived the Red Terror by fleeing to the hinterland and staying there for many years.

The Vikings had berserkers. You’d point the berserkers at the battlefield and pray. They were so out of control that there was the terrifying chance they would turn on your own people. Some scholars think the berserkers were high on something but, according to contemporary accounts, even if there wasn’t a battle, folks would try to avoid them because they had a hair trigger at the best of times.

The Red Guard was like having all your kids turn into berserkers. They were seriously out of control and you never knew who they’d turn on.

Leftists despise the current civilization because it doesn’t provide them with the stuff they feel they are entitled to. They feel the easiest way to build a society that will work properly (IE provide them with all the stuff they want) is to destroy the current one first. They view themselves as being so smart, that rebuilding a new society will be easy peasy.

“We cannot continue to use the sky as an open sewer in a way that is absolutely destroying the future”

Is a classic example of pollution of the English language with Orwellian-style Greenspeak, wherein CO2 is conflated with actual air pollutants, which generally are a local problem, to be dealt with on a localized basis, usually urban areas. Ironically, what Al Gore and his ilk are doing, brainwashing kids with their Klimate Propaganda will do more to destroy their future than anything else.

Hey, Herr Gore, you got any facts (aka hard data) to support that specious claim?

Just one will do.

As for your reference to “morally based social movements demanding change”, I think the Hitler-jugend (aka Hitler Youth organization) from 1933 to 1945 would qualify for this same characterization, albeit their demands for change were a bit different than those of today’s teenagers that seem, for some strange reason, to be enamoured with you.

This man is the inhuman embodiment of ignorance and malevolence. He is basically saying, without a shred of proof, that ever breath these youths expel is a noxious insult to nature and every calorie of energy expended in their life and development is a sin against the environment. Yet he continues to blow hard at every opportunity, flies luxuriously around the globe on a whim, sucks up the wealth of poor people like it was his daily bread, buys houses as if they were socks and swells like the glutton he is. While he preaches a sermon of guilt for the gullible, he heartlessly slobbers at the public trough while holding back the little people lest he miss some tasty morsel. Why bother with data and facts when an emotional appeal based on visuals stripped of context will do the trick? We are all familiar with photos of industrial chimneys belching out water vapor being taken with backlight to turn white clouds dark & menacing. My local favorite is pictures of flooding from summer rains in Dixie Highway in Miami being passed off as sea level rise. Climate alarmists are passed Masters of visual manipulation.
