It was really tough to begin with as I’m not scientifically qualified in anything, but I am logically trained, so the scientific method made sense to me.

What has grown since I first read WUWT is the political aspect of climate, which I have barked on about for the last ten years or so and you have recognised (not due to me).

You were graceful enough to publish an article I wrote, which was very well received, with considerable help from Charles.

You, personally, have made an enormous difference to the global debate about climate change, and your determination and courage are simply astonishing.

We are now close to what we have all been seeking since you started WUWT, a sensible debate on climate change, which I believe is all we have ever asked for.

2024 may prove to be a pivotal year. Like it or not, the Ukraine conflict is a global game changer. If Putin ‘wins’ NATO will be discredited, as will the UN. There goes, also, agenda 2030 including the WHO’s attempt to control of every nations health policy.

We will be faced with the future of a BRICS alliance which does not conform to the climate change narrative.

Whatever spills from that, we will be shot of climate nonsense. On that level, we should celebrate.

We will be faced with other challenges, militarily and financial, but we have dealt with those before and our western nations have prevailed.

But whatever happens, the climate debate is dying a slow death as the realities of renewables are colliding with reality.

We still have a journey to travel, but John Constable of the GWPF summed it up for me a couple of years ago when he wrote that there wouldn’t be a wind turbine standing in in the world in 10 – 20 years time (paraphrasing).

Will the west have a functioning society in 10 – 20 years time? I don’t know, but we can be assured that BRICS nations do not want to lose their greatest customers.
